We know that the Buhari Presidency and Kebbi state governor, have been jittery over their imminent defeat due to the soaring popularity of the PDP in the state, hence their attempt to use the Police to clamp down on PDP officials and candidates on trumped-up charges.
In arresting and trying to arraign our Kebbi State Chairman, Aljahi Haruna Saidu and Deputy Governorship candidate, Abubakar Mallam, on issues related to internal party administration of choice of our candidates for election, Governor Bagudu and the APC have betrayed their hopelessness in the face of our overwhelming support by the people, due to the quality of our candidates at all levels.
The PDP therefore charges the Kebbi state Commissioner of Police to immediately extricate himself and the police from this condemnable plot by the APC, which is already pitching the people of Kebbi state against the police.
The Police and other security agencies must note that any person or agency entangled with the APC in its clamp down on the opposition and plots to manipulate the general elections, is directly working against the will of the people.
Finally the PDP urges Nigerians across the country to remain steadfast in their resolve to rescue our nation from the stranglehold of the incompetent, deceptive, anti-people and downright corrupt APC administration, by voting enmasse for the PDP in all the polls.
