Super Eagles of Nigeria and the defeated Tunisian side in the play-off at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations are to receive the same amount.

Both are to get $2 million each for getting to the semi finals. That is one of the highlights as CAF on Saturday released the sharing formula for all the teams that participated in the just concluded edition of the Africa Cup of Nations champions.

Winners, Algeria get the lion’s share of $4.5 million while Senegal, the runners up are to receive $2.5 million.

The teams that fell at the quarterfinals stage are to get $800, 000 each. The affected teams are Benin Republic, South Africa, Cote d’Ivoire and Madagascar.

The Round of 16 teams that could not progress to the quarterfinals are to get $670, 000. Among those teams are the hosts, Egypt who were knocked out by South Africa.

The prizes will be distributed as follows:

WINNERS: Algeria: $4.5 million.

RUNNERSUP: Senegal: $2.5 million.

SEMIFINALISTS: Nigeria and Tunisia: $2 million

QUARTERFINALS: Madagascar, Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa & Benin: $800.000

ROUND OF 16: Morocco, Uganda, Egypt, Mali, Guinea, DR Congo, Cameroon & Ghana: $670.000

THIRD PLACE IN GROUP-STAGES: Angola and Kenya: $620.000
